Contrary to its name, Bombay Mix or “Chanachur” does not hail from Mumbai (fka. “Bombay”) in western India, but is native to Bengal in the northeastern corner of India, and the neighboring country Bangladesh. It is a snack mix with spicy dried ingredients, such as fried lentils, peanuts & chickpea flour. This is all flavored with salt and a blend of spices.
Bombay Mix goes well with all our food as a side order, but also works perfectly as an afternoon snack – preferably washed down with an ice-cold Kingfisher beer.
