Indian Pakora recipe

Indian snacks are widely famous across the world for their epic taste. What is more good than having Pakoras on a rainy day or in the tea time? Off course nothing.

Here is a very simple and tasty recipe for making Indian Pakoras.

  • Gram flour 3 bowls
  • Potatoes 3 (grated)
  • Onions 2 (thinly sliced)
  • Ginger ½ inch piece (grated)
  • Coriander 3 tbsp (chopped)
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Green chillies 2 (chopped)
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Red chilli ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste

Heat the oil in a skillet.

Slice onions in a bowl. Add peeled and grated potatoes in it. Now add all the spices and other ingredients in it. Mix well. Now add gram flour and mix again using your hand.

Afterwards, add water in the mixture just enough to make a thick batter. Make sure you mix it again to get a homogenous mixture.

Now test the oil if it is appropriately heated. Add spoonfuls of this batter in oil. Make sure you don’t over crowd your skillet. Let the Pakoras turn golden brown. Meanwhile, keep on turning and moving pakoras to ensure uniform cooking. Dish out pakoras on kitchen towel. Let the oil be absorbed.
